We are sure that the runs will come to be regarded as classics of their genre. This means they are for serious runners too. Timekeeping will be meticulous. Click here for the 'Past Results' page. The name cool country classic is a reflection of the unique climate of the Trentham area. As a rule of thumb, our daily temperature is measurably lower than that of Melbourne. So whilst you may not need it, you would be well advised to bring warm clothing for after the run. Each course is along north-facing country lanes about 750 metres above sea level, just below the crest of the Great Dividing Range. It is no exaggeration to say that the courses take runners, walkers and people with disabilities through some of the most picturesque pastoral country in the Shire of Hepburn. Also, the highest single drop waterfall in the State is only minutes from the township of Trentham. See if you can equal your sea-level personal best! If not, you will have at least breathed some of the purest air this State has to offer. The Trentham area is rich in history, and borders the vast Wombat State Forest, comprising about 70,000 hectares of native timber forest. Bring your friends and families. There will be a "perpetual prize" for the best open male and female participants (the winners' names on plaques in the Trentham Hotel - a great honour!). There will also be carry-away prizes in these categories, and for the best under 15 top place-getters. Other really interesting prizes are in the offing. Please note that it is a point-to-point, commencing 5 kms from the finish line.
