Settled 1855
Production Gold discovered(Blackwood) 1855.
In 1890 - 20,000 tons of produce, mainly timber left Trentham by rail. Potatoes were also grown in the area.
Climate Mild to hot in Summer, crisp in Winter(sometimes snow), colorful Autumn and Spring. Altitude 800M on the Great Dividing Range - Av. Rainfall 1151mm - Catchment areas: Werribee, Campaspe, Loddon rivers.
Near to Lyonville, Blackwood ,Kyneton, Woodend, Daylesford and Hepburn Springs, Wombat State Forest, fishing, golf, bowls, wineries, restaurants and much more.
